Belly pics & Dr. update

Here are few belly pics from last week – 27 weeks. I’m actually 28 weeks tomorrow!

We had a Dr.’s appointment today, and the boys are looking great! Baby A (Hudson) is weighing 2 lbs, 10 oz. and Baby B (Landon) is 2 lbs, 6 oz. It’s hard to believe that I’m carrying around 5 lb. 1 oz. of baby! The Dr. said there is still plenty of room for them to move around, and around 33 or 34 weeks, they will probably stay put. Also, my cervix hasn’t shortened, which is great. It’s still at a 4, which is good for where I am in the pregnancy. Anything around 2 right now would probably mean preterm labor or bed rest.  I feel like I look full term for having 1!  My ankles are starting to swell some at the end of the day, but it’s nothing a little R & R can’t cure. Jason has been cooking and making me rest at night, and I’m so thankful for such a great husband!

There’s no reason I can’t make it until 36 or 37 weeks! I’m taking it easy and determined to make that happen. Those boys better  behave & stay in there and cook!

Caring for Multiples 101

We took our multiples class on Sat., which was very informative. There were 5 of us with twins and 2 with triplets! We took the elevator up to the NICU to see the babies, and Jason said he couldn’t believe there were 16 babies in one elevator! We watched a natural birth  and c-section birth of twins, learned about breastfeeding both at the same time/pumping,  changing diapers and caring for them, etc.. It was really good! I think we feel better about things, even though nothing can truly prepare you. We will just have to learn once they are here and fully thrown into it! :)

I didn’t have an appt this week, so no news to report. I go back on the 26th and I’m anxious for that. All I know is that I’m putting on weight more and more each week and my belly is getting huge! I seriously do a double take at myself sometimes..  We are also in the midst of interviewing pediatricians, so we hope to have one picked by Feb.

Pics of the Nursery…. two steps closer

We are getting closer to finishing the room. The bedding finally arrived! It looks great, and we are really happy with the colors we chose. Also, my mom gave me a wonderful frame as an early b-day present. It is already hanging over the changing table!

Sono pics at 24 weeks, 6 days

My appt. went well on Tuesday. Baby A is weighing in at 1 lb, 12 oz and Baby B is 1 lb, 9 oz. Both are right on track! I go back in 3 weeks for another peek inside.. Can’t wait!

Some people have asked to see a belly pic, so here are a few! 

The first one is 16 weeks and the other is 25 weeks…9 weeks later!
It looks almost double in size!  Wow, 10 more weeks to grow.  I may topple over!

New Years Eve

The boys experienced their first NYE party downtown, and probably the last! We hung out at the WFAA studio with friends, and I even managed to stay up until 2:00~!

Getting there..

Jason finished the chair rail, and closet in the room. It looks great! Just waiting on the bedding then we will add a window valance and some decor on the walls. Funny that we are wanting the room done soon, and the babies won’t even be in there for a while! But, it’s one less thing to worry about after they are here!
