Happy Birthday Boys!

It’s really crazy that the boys are now 365 days old! It truly does fly by like everyone says. We were sitting on the floor looking at the boys’ preemie diapers & clothes this week, and we just couldn’t believe that they were ever that small.  They were both less than 4 pounds, on feeding tubes, extra oxygen, IV’s, & had reflux … and now they are eating food (well one kid is), pulling up, standing, giggling and talking. It truly amazes us in every way. I’m so proud of the progress they have made & it’s been an incredible journey.

We couldn’t have survived this first year without the support and help from family and friends. The first 5 months or so were very challenging, so we appreciate everyone that helped in any way possible. Thank you! We feel so blessed to have these two precious boys as our sons, and we look forward to many more memories ahead!

Weeeeeee……

We went to the park both days this weekend! The weather was amazing & we had a blast. The boys look so grown up to me on the swings! :) We look forward to many more of these park days this spring & summer!

Snow is better than Ice!

Last Friday when the snow came down, we took the boys out in it again.  At least we were able to get outside & not see just ice! Jason also took a break from work and made some snow ice cream.  He also thought skiing sounded like a great idea, and I wasn’t too sure about this. It lasted all of 10 min, and he managed to not break any bones. Needless to say, we’ve had a lot of fun! But, like everyone else, we are ready for SPRING!

Alright. Stop. Collaborate and listen… going stir crazy here did I need to mention? 

Just like everyone else, we are stuck inside for days on end. It actually hasn’t been that bad, just lots of playin’ and stayin’ in our jammies most days. :0  Jason has been able to work from home all week, which has been nice. I am really glad we went to Gram’s on Monday. I think it’s safe for me to say, we are ready for another outing or two! Come on warmer weather! Hope everyone is staying warm & finding things to do at home.

11 months old! Can someone press pause?

Seriously?! How can the boys already be 11 months old? I don’t really get it.  I think time flies faster with kids for sure than it did before! I want to know what we did with our spare time before kids?! The boys seem to keep us plenty busy around here. I keep saying each month “this is the best stage”, so I do know it keeps getting better and better! We love these little munchkins so much!

The boys are really so much fun & full of personality! Landon is now setting records for the fastest crawler. :) He’s totally taken off and now cruising around couches, pulling up on barstools, etc.. We have had to put locks on the office doors now so that he can’t cause trouble in there. And we put up a gate into the playroom so that we can play in one room & have some sanity.   Hudson is still an army crawler, but manages to get all over the place too. I got my first kiss from Hudson last week & it melted mommy’s heart! Landon has learned to clap now too & claps at everything. They both giggle & play with each other, and it’s the best thing EVER.

Hudson has gotten good at this eating food thing & trying all sorts of new things. He’s such a good eater & loves food just like mommy. Landon (daddy, jr.) on the other hand,  has not taken to the finger foods that great. If it has anything to do with carbs, he’s all about it. Fruits and Veggies.. he’ll take a rain check! So, we will just keep trying it with Landon and hopefully he will come around.
