11 months old! Can someone press pause?

Seriously?! How can the boys already be 11 months old? I don’t really get it.  I think time flies faster with kids for sure than it did before! I want to know what we did with our spare time before kids?! The boys seem to keep us plenty busy around here. I keep saying each month “this is the best stage”, so I do know it keeps getting better and better! We love these little munchkins so much!

The boys are really so much fun & full of personality! Landon is now setting records for the fastest crawler. :) He’s totally taken off and now cruising around couches, pulling up on barstools, etc.. We have had to put locks on the office doors now so that he can’t cause trouble in there. And we put up a gate into the playroom so that we can play in one room & have some sanity.   Hudson is still an army crawler, but manages to get all over the place too. I got my first kiss from Hudson last week & it melted mommy’s heart! Landon has learned to clap now too & claps at everything. They both giggle & play with each other, and it’s the best thing EVER.

Hudson has gotten good at this eating food thing & trying all sorts of new things. He’s such a good eater & loves food just like mommy. Landon (daddy, jr.) on the other hand,  has not taken to the finger foods that great. If it has anything to do with carbs, he’s all about it. Fruits and Veggies.. he’ll take a rain check! So, we will just keep trying it with Landon and hopefully he will come around.

Developmental follow up

We took the boys back to the developmental  pediatric place where they first went when they were 6 months old. We go every 4 months to check gross motor, fine motor, and language skills due to the fact that they were preemies. Our specialist, Holly, does several tests on the boys to see if they are on track or delayed. The boys did great, and we feel good about how far they have come! They seem to be a little delayed verbally, but that will come in time. It’s been fun & amazing to see the changes they have made since the day they were born. Here are some percentiles as to where they are right now according to their real age, not adjusted.

Hudson- head- 90% 
            weight- 50-60%
            height- 10%

Landon- head- 50-75%
            weight- 10%
            height- 10%


They loved this mirror & we now think we
might be adding one to our playroom! Landon

Happy New Year!!!

Our new year resolution is posting to the blog more often.  Ok, that isn’t actually our resolution, but it should be.   Promise, we will try to be better.  And now that it is 2011, we just realized our boys will be a year old in no time at all.  Wow, time flies when you are having fun.

Here is our 10 Month bear pic.  They are getting so big!!  Or is the bear getting smaller?!

 

At a party last month, Landon loved playing in a box.  Grandpa showed up last week with Landon’s very own party wagon.  The boys enjoyed getting pulled around the living room in it.

 

Now that Christmas is down, we are loving all of the space we have to play.  And better yet, we are loving our new toys!
