The boys are continuing to do great… and growing. We had our 6 month check up with Dr. K. We are now on the charts and catching up to normal 6 month olds. Ok, maybe not officially catching up, but we are headed in the right direction. Hudson is now in the 25th percentile for weight, and Landon is in the 5th percentile. Here are a few photos from the Dr. visit.
Landon and the Dr having a laugh.
Are we done yet?
Patiently waiting our turn.
Huddie being a big boy.
Hudson flirting with the doc.
Too much excitement, Hudson decided to take a nap.
And because we have preemie’s, we also get to visit a developmental specialist. After an hour and half of playing with blocks, rings and mirrors, we found out our boys are right on track if not ahead. Huddie and Landers are both at 5 months, 1 week for Gross Motor Skills (they were only hoping for them to be at 4 months) and Hudson is at 5 months for Fine Motor Skills, and Landon is at 6 months.
If I knew what those Cheerio’s were, I probably would have picked them up. Landon is walking! Ok, not really.
Hudson looking mighty interested.
Got it! Can’t get that ring passed me.
And all this exercise and tests wore me out. Nap time.
And to celebrate their 6 month birthday, we had some cupcakes. Ok, Mom and Dad had some cupcakes, but the boys posed for a picture or two for good measure.
Light the candles please.
What flavor did you get? Want to try mine?
hmm, now what?
ok, this is fun and all… can we eat now?
thanks dad.
time to eat.
Huddie wasn’t too sure about it… but Landon was. He stuck his fingers right in there. We think he will be ready to go come 1 year.
After cake, we stopped by mom and dad’s to say hi and hang out in their backyard. And when you have a new camera, it typically leads to some more pictures.
And part of our 6th month appointment, the doctor told us to start rice cereal to get them used to the spoon/eating. And let it begin…
Yum, yum.
open up and say aw.
And the rice cereal wasn’t doing the trick… he wanted the bottle.
A week later:
Landon is still trying to figure it out… has the sticking out the tongue part down.
Hudson on the other hand is a pro. He loves him some food.
And Landon likes to show of his new pearly whites… he has two teeth now!
